What is a critical test of leadership?
Corporate bravery. It takes a balanced leader to address the challenges of the business environment. Too often it seems to be only about "breaking glass" when tough decisions need to be made or new directions explored.  Many people can break glass.  It is about getting teams to accept and move with the changes, to perform through the changes, and to become more because of the experience.  The corporation is people and processes, and corporate bravery is taking the new paths, even if unexplored or uncharted, and engaging a team to create success in the direction. 
You've worked across several industries, what is your favorite?
Well, I have learned and enjoyed all my experiences. I do have a special place for toys and children's products. I love the products that offer a child learning while having fun.  It is the idea of wonder, and learning something new.  We lose too much of this wonder as we age up, and things that offer this sense of wonder, or add that new element to our lives, are special.  Ultimately I have learned and enjoy all the business/industry areas I have worked with.  The learning and challenges are what, for me, creates a sense of curiosity and excitement about the possibilities.  
What engages you?

I am most engaged when working on transformation. Whether it is puzzling out how to manage converging technologies in a product, or getting processes aligned to meet new challenges or opportunities, developing talent potential to address growth, or figuring out the best combination of these in people, process and product to deliver a desired result, I find this most engaging. I think the problem solving fascinates me;  there is rarely one answer possible, and finding the best fit solution to meet the challenge is totally engaging for me.
